Mercury launches ICS tablet mTab Rio

Kobian, a player in computer peripherals and tablets, has launched a new tablet called mTab Rio. The tablet comes with a 9.7 inch IPS (In plane switching) panel (display), 1.2 GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 memory and 8 GB /16GB storage options. Company claims that the Wi-Fi only provides a battery backup of 6-8 hours.

Mercury mTab Rio operates on the Android 4.0 platform and weigh 480gm. The tablet also supports 32 GB expandable memory through MicroSD card. The main advantage of IPS panel is it offers a consistent and accurate color from all viewing angles in contrast to the traditional LCD screens which display partially true color. The IPS offers a quick and homogeneous response time and provides the optimal structure to process a large number of high speed signals without data loss.

Apart from a screen size similar to Apple iPad. The tablet comes with Wi-Fi capability, supports Adobe Flash 11 and has a 2.0 megapixel camera. It also allows easy connectivity to 3G through USB interface and offers a HDMI output.
