Lenovo’s Essential B series produced for those who pursue economical laptop with acceptable quality, B570 is reasonably available at £390. In terms of design, the overall look seems quite satisfactory without looking dull as other budget laptops. The exterior part is mostly made from matte black plastic with the lid and keyboard surround are decorated with subtle pinstripe pattern. Beside the row of numbers on top of the keyboard, Lenovo Essential B570 also provides numerical keypad on the right-hand side, as found on common detached computer keyboard. The keys are pretty nice to type on. The laptop provides three USB sockets, an eSATA port for connecting up high speed externals, a standard VGA output, and an HDMI connector (to hook the laptop up to a HD TV).
The screen has a 15.6-inch display with the resolution of 1,366×768 pixels to provide impressive colors while the colors and contrast remain consistent across the surface of the screen.
