Acer’s Aspire S7 features an interesting optional touch screen that goes perfectly with Windows 8. Even though the device is coming with Windows 7 as the OS when it hits the stores, Acer will be rolling out the Windows 8 updates within months after Microsoft officially unveils Windows 8. So you can enjoy the full level of touch screen experience with the system. The new Windows 8 OS is coming with a touch screen friendly user interface, with a redesigned start screen, full screen support, and tablet like apps and offers you tablet like experience in the laptop.
Now you don’t have to wait more to put your hands on to the device because Acer is planning to launch the Aspire S7 Ultrabook in September, and it will be first hitting the shelves in UK for a price tag of £1,149.99 that is approximately equal to $1800 US.
Aspire S7 is expected to be coming in both 11.6 inch and 13.3 inch sizes and will be the power of Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge processor. Other features include 4GB of RAM, and 128GB solid state disk in entry level model. Faster processors, more storage space and additional RAM will be available in higher configurations.
