Starting with the core features, the laptop offers the power of Intel Core i5 processors with Intel Turbo Boost Technology, to deliver faster performance, without sacrificing energy. The 14-inch display of the device offers rich and crisp colors. Acer has used ComfyView LCD LED backlit HD display that rocks with 1366×768 pixel resolution and 16:9 aspect ratios. The laptop also features Wireless Display technology. It boasts a spill-resistant keyboard, to avoid accidental spills on the notebook.
The TravelMate P243 houses 4GB of RAM that is extended up to 8GB, and the storage is offered by a SATA hard disk that ranges up to 500GB of capacity. The network options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet etc, and the built-in webcam along with microphone lets you to enjoy the high-quality video conferences.
Coming to the business features, the Acer ProShield Security with BioProtection Fingerprint solution prevents any unauthorized access and the File Shredder removes unwanted files or folders permanently beyond recovery and also the device offers automated solution to manage IT assets remotely. Other features includes Acer eRecovery Manager, Acer Office Manager (AOM), monitor IT assets, manageability solution etc. The Acer TravelMate P243 notebooks will be available in U.S. in August itself via authorized Acer resellers. The device starts from $699.99, and Acer also offers TravelMate P243 series notebooks with 2nd Generation Intel Core i3 processors starting at $599.99.
