Asus has introduced a new family to the ultrabook market, Asus S series, designed by combining higher performance, better media options and more storage. They meet the ultrabook factors defined by Intel, and are packed up with latest generation Intel Core processors, dedicated graphics, hybrid SSD/HDD and optical drive all in just 0.826″ form factor.
One of the prime focus points of the device is its 21mm profile, while hosting all the powerful features within that ultra thin casing. The device sports a stylish yet sturdy design, with one-piece molded top casing to improve the durability, while the grey-colored hairline treatment on covers, gives the device a classic look. There will be two new devices under the family, 14″ and 15″ versions. The laptop is coming with a stylish chiclet keyboard, and touch pad with Smart Gesture technology. Now moving to the innards, there will be an Intel Core i7 “Ivy Bridge” processor along with discrete NVIDIA GeForce GT 635M graphics and hybrid hard drive to drive the show. The laptop also offers Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, card reader etc.
The S series ultrabook from Asus also offers some special features like Asus Sonic Master Lite audio that offers extreme sound experience and integrated exclusive 2-second instant on functionality with the help of Super Hybrid Engine II proprietary technology. Asus S series ultrabook runs on Windows 7 OS.
