Lenovo ThinkPad X131e Is Available Now For $499 & Up

Remember the Lenovo ThinkPad X131e introduced by the Lenovo back in June? The device is now available for purchase. The company is offering the device with a low price tag, starting from $499.99, and you can configure the device according to your choice. This 11.6-inch thin and light laptop is available with either AMD or Intel processor.

Lenovo’s ThinkPad series is famous for business laptops, and the latest member in the family, the ThinkPad X131e is also designed with a rugged casing, but it is partially aimed at business professionals. The company is targeting students also and so has added some special features particularly for them. The device sports stainless steel hinge brackets, rubber bumpers around the top cover, reinforced hinges etc. to reduce the impact caused due to unexpected fall to some extent. There is also rubber padding around the hard drive to protect it from shock and a dustless fan.

The processor options include AM DE-300 CPU, AMD E2-1800 Brazos 2.0 processor or Intel Celeron 877 CPU, & an Intel Core i3-2367M Sandy Bridge chip. The laptop houses an 8GB of memory and up to 500GB or 128GB SSD for storage. The port options available in the laptop include 1 USB 2.0 port, 2 USB 3.0 ports, VGA, HDMI etc. The laptop is also equipped with Dolby Advance Audio, 720p HD webcam and offers Ethernet, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and card reader.

Lenovo ThinkPad X131e is coming with Rapid Charge that charges battery to 80% in just 30 minutes. And Rapid Boot for 40% faster boot up time. As it is also focused on education sectors, the laptop houses a LEDs on the laptop cover which let the teachers know whether there is an internet connection available in the device, so as to prevent the students from chatting or looking up things online, while they are in classroom.
